Buzz!

Former American Idol runner-up David Archuleta sang the National Anthem before the start of the Anaheim Ducks-Nashville Predators game last Friday. Even with his support, the Ducks lost the game 4-3 in OT, then went on to lose the series.
Archuleta will also make an appearance at the Invisible Children’s Break the Silence in Nashville and there will be a live video stream so those who can’t make it can watch online. The goal is for $25 raised for each person for The Protection Plan, which is to protect people from the Lord’s Resistance Army violence in central Africa.

Girly Bubble

David Archuleta performed a cover of Daniel Bedingfield’s “Gotta Get Through This” at The Invisible Children’s Break The Silence event. The event was held in order to raise awareness, as well as funds, to help stop wars in Africa.
David looks like he is having a great time performing and he doesn’t seem to be down on himself at all that he is no longer signed to a major record label. We really think David should start up his own label! We’d support him! Would you?

More "Gotta Get Thru This" buzz!

Gotta Get Thru David Archuleta's New Cover!

Last night David Archuleta performed in Nashville for Invisible Children's Break the Silence. His six song set consumed of one song from his latest album, The Other Side of Down, two from his debut and three covers. But one cover stuck out from them all.

David covered Daniel Bedingfield's "Gotta Get Thru This", but with a twist. Towards the end, he added in lyrics to Sting's "Message in a Bottle". The perfect mash-up as the songs blended amazingly while David's new guitarist played acoustic and his new drummer took to bongos.

As for David, he sang this song like nothing's he's ever sung before. Usually a soulful crooner, this sound and vibe was a bit different for David, but he definitely pulled it off. His voice alone went to a whole new level, rarely heard from David. Is this the new approach David has been aiming for? More recently David has been hard at work writing his own music, will it be anything like this new cover? Whatever it may be, it'll sure be some great stuff. And we can all just keep David's "Gotta Get Thru This" on repeat until then.

Tons of Break the Silence buzz!

David Archuleta sang a mashup of Gotta Get Through This and Message in a Bottle at the Invisible Children benefit in Nashville.

This is a great direction for David jamming with the band! I still hope he sings more modern pop songs though. But his fans love this kind of stuff.

David Archuleta performed an acoustic set for the Invisible Children benefit concert at Lipscomb University’s Allen arena in Nashville, TN Monday night.

The set featured a very cool mashup of Daniel Beddingfield’s “Gotta Get Through This” with the Police’s “Message in a Bottle.” Very very nice. Watch it after the jump.

David Archuleta Jams In Nashville
David Archuleta was among the performers for the Invisible Children benefit last night. My twitter feed BLEW UP last night when David started singing a mash up of Daniel Bedingfield and The Police so of course we had to post it! It's amazing and David never disappoints. Should we all now just start chanting for a tour?
Pop City Life

David Archuleta was in Nashville, Tennessee on Monday night performing for Break the Silence. The band Mumford and Sons were performing on stage for the same cause but they were in Austin Texas. The performance of the campaign '25'   launched earlier this year by the Invisible Children organization was a complete success as artists came together across the county to perform and raise awareness for the longest war in Africa.
David Archuleta, taking to the stage in Lipscomb University's Allen arena in Nashville, and shared some of his beloved songs (as well as a few covers) for the fans had everyone excited to contribute and join together for the cause.  The former American Idol contestant, one of the youngest ever, had hopes to share his passion for the cause with others. Between the screaming fans and the sing-alongs there wasn’t any doubt he did his part in making the event a success.
