So to all @DavidArchie fans This is a story I heard yesterday about David and @therealnewangel wants me to share it here. So here it goes!

So I was working in Cottonwood Heights in Salt Lake County and a new client told me that her daughters took voice from Dean Kaelin. Their lessons were always right after Davids. She said that they would get there early just to listen to him. All this before Idol. Anyway one day they had to wait a little longer because David had been late to his lesson. Dean told them that David had been a half hour late. Said he came running in apologizing for being late. But he (David) had been out for a run and as he was running saw an older women out weeding all by herself and felt like he should stop and help her. Said he didn't want her to have to do it all by herself. So he helped weed until it was all weeded. So that was why he was late. She (my new client) said that Dean told David it was OK because he just proved to be the better man because of his character.

This is just one of the many reasons I love this young man!

Season 7 - David Archuleta
David Archuleta auditioned for the seventh season of American Idol at just 16 years old, and became the youngest runner-up in his time at 17. Competing on one of the most popular and talented seasons, later to be up against David Cook in one of the most watched season finales, Archuleta won the hearts of everyone, ranging from teens, young adults, moms and grandmas with his stunning version of John Lennon's "Imagine." Now at the age of 21 with three albums and a best selling book, David will be making his first full-on acting debut, starring in Nandito Ako, a Filipino mini series, airing in February. Though he has a strong career and much more up ahead, David announced last month that he plans to take a two-year hiatus to go on an LDS mission for his church. David was, and still is, one of the most popular, most remembered and most talented singers that ever graced the Idol stage, and was definitely the best of his season.

A True Altruist

It's interesting how so many different people from all over the world - different ages, different genders, different nationalities, different lifestyles - can all come together for one person. Uniting into one fan base, supporting and enjoying the talent, for we have all ventured into this together. But the best thing about this journey has been, not the music from David, but the giving back for David.

Since the beginning, the fans have always given back, getting involved and donating to charities that David mentioned, like Rising Star Outreach and Invisible Children. Even creating groups in David's name, such as Stand Up To Cancer: Crush Kids' Cancer, and a whole charity team created by fans called Angels For A Cause.

There are so many charities and foundations that David has gotten involved with, and because of that, the fans too get involved. Whether it's giving their time, their donations or even the genuine support for a cause. Putting all differences and prior engagements aside, to join together and commit to helping those in need, all because of David's amazing influence.

Having someone like David involved with so many important causes is support enough, but when there's numerous fans tagging along, consolidating based off of David's strong impact, brings the support to a whole new level. David encourages his fans to follow in his beneficent footsteps, and they follow twice as hard as they coalesce to help great causes and those in need.

We care about David, and care about the way he helps others, which motivates us all to do the same. David is a true altruist, bringing people together for righteousness, strengthening the hearts and minds of his fans as he proves that giving back is the true virtue and way to happiness. And David's desire to return the favor to the world that has got him to where he is today is something to be admired, and is admired by all of his loyal fans.
