TV5 contract signing and press conference!

His character name in the mini series will be Josh and will have similarities to David
Once he gets back to the states after this trip, he'll be recording as much music as possible to release while he's gone on his mission!
He also has projects in the works for when he gets back from his mission!
"Two years goes by fast.. I mean, it's been four years since American Idol." ♥
He knows he'll have to sacrifice a lot while on his mission, but that's part of the reason why he wants to do it.
Do you plan on doing anymore concerts after the mission? "Of course!"
"Music is what I love to do, it's what I plan to do for the rest of my life."

David forgot to tell his mom about Stadium of Fire!

Archuleta, of course, is the Utah native who tugged at America’s heartstrings while finishing runner-up on Season 7 of Fox’s “American Idol.” His performances on that show, as well as his subsequent solo career, have made him a household name, not only in Utah, but across the nation.

Archuleta was on hand for the official announcement, making it to the press conference in the Cougar Room at LaVell Edwards Stadium with under an hour to spare after driving from Los Angeles. In a brief solo interview afterward, the 20-year-old singer said he had been keeping a lid on his Stadium of Fire invite for a while, so much so that he forgot he hadn’t even shared the news with his mother.

“On my way here, she was like, ‘So, what is it, like, we’re going to do? You have an interview?’ ” Archuleta said. “I said, ‘It’s a press conference for Stadium of Fire.’ She’s like, ‘Oh, really? You’re doing that?’ I’m like, ‘Whoops, forgot to tell her.’”
