David Archuleta home for holidays, signing books
SALT LAKE CITY -- David Archuelta has come home for the holidays and is taking time to sign some autographs for his hometown fans. Last Christmas, Archuleta was the guest performer for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Christmas concerts.

This year the DVD and CD of the performance are available and he will be at Deseret Book's downtown store following the annual lighting of Temple Square.

"I don't think there's anything like Christmas music, really, because it's something that so many people are willing to listen to and take in," Archuelta said. "They all the feeling that they feel to come in and it's just in the air. It's just everywhere and I love that."

Buzz!

Season 7 — David Cook vs. David Archuleta: David Cook was Idol’s master of tweaking songs to fit his style of music; David Archuleta is a better singer than either of this year’s teen sensations. Another of my favorite final twos. Conclusion: Big edge to Season 7.
Idol Chatter

David Archuleta knows all too well how a popular singing competition can rocket an amateur musician into an American Idol, and for three Utah hopefuls that same dream could take off at this year’s Stadium of Fire.

David Archuleta performed the National Anthem at the Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on May 17, 2011. We love that David slowed the song down a bit and really focused on making it sound the best he could. We love hearing David perform live – he has a fantastic voice, and makes every song sound perfect!
Check out David’s performance below and be sure to let us know if you have been lucky enough to see David perform in person and what your favorite song to hear him sing acoustically is!
