VIPers sing "We'll Be There" to David in Beaver Creek
My pal Karin and I changed the lyrics around to the Jackson 5 song I'll Be There to help articulate a message to David from all of his fans around the world. We wanted him to know how happy we are for him right now and how much we'll always continue to support him. We performed the song at the last VIP for the My Kind of Christmas tour.
Thanks to everyone at the Beaver Creek, Colorado VIP for participating and thanks to Kari for recording video for us!
Lyrics:
You are on a special path
Your light will shine the world and back
Let your heart guide you
And we'll be there
We'll support this dream for you
We have faith in all you do
Whenever you need us
We'll be there
We'll be there
We'll be there
Just call our names
And we'll be there

"Falling Stars" rewritten
you don’t know meMyLifeIsArchieyou don’t even know my name
not even an idea
somewhere in the back of your brain
I’m so not offended,
‘cause I always knew that the day will come when I’ll meeeet you-
face to face.
please tell me it is possible
no way there won’t be tour
‘cause that would be illogical
believe me..
like these FANS OF YOURS,
we love you
we are bound to stand by your side..
‘TILL THE END,
we’ll never get
over you, never over you ‘cause
you are so
beautiful
yeahh
David, keep heading…
to the other side of down,
we will be foll’wing…
eventually we will meet.
we’ll always love you,
believe it or not
and baby that’s not enough to - not even to stop these
FANS OF YOURS loving you
we’re bound to listen forever,
THE WHOLE WORLD
supports you
and that voice of yours, ohhh voice of yours
‘cause
it is so
beautiful
yeah
when you find new management
you’ll see
there’s so much more that you can be
going far, tour the world and make us proud
please sing to me someday I pray
no way that we can not-
be FANS OF YOURS
we love you
we are bound to stand by your side…
TILL THE END,
we’ll never get
over you, never over you ‘cause
you are so
beautiful
yeahh.

Cambio shows their support!
Click HERE and tell them your favorite song and show your support!David Archuleta is ready for his next career move.
It was announced yesterday, that the “American Idol” runner-up parted ways with his record label Jive. A Jive spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that “David was released from our roster.”
David brought up suspicion that he was no longer on his label when he tweeted: “Decisions.. They are scary things before knowing what could happen after you make them, but I’m excited for what the future holds.”
He later on went to write: “Hey guys, just want to let you know you fans are awesome haha. Just want to let you know I am excited for the opportunities ahead :) Thanks for the support you continue to show! Means a lot. Just wanted to check in let you know things are going where I feel they should.”
David is very talented and we can’t wait to see what he does next. Make sure you check out all our David videos on Cambio.
What is your favorite David Archuleta song?
We haven’t heard the last from David Archuleta
Idol ChatterFans have been tweeting David Archuleta words of encouragement this evening at a dizzying pace.
So I guess it’s true. The guy who was the runner-up in season seven of Idol, who appeared to be the judges’ favorite throughout that season, is no longer a member of the Jive record label, having been released or dropped.
I figured that if I waited until this evening to address the issue in a blog, one of David’s hometown papers in the Salt Lake area would surely have gotten to the bottom of the matter.
They haven’t. So we’re left to draw deductions from a couple of tweets from his former management team and the unnamed source who told Hollywood Reporter on Friday that “David was released from our roster.”
It caps a strange couple of months for the former Idol finalist, who has one of the most devoted fan bases you’ll ever find.
On one hand, David’s been featured at a number of high-profile events, appearing on NBC’s Skate for Heart in mid-January, starring on FOX’s New Years Eve Live, and performing in front of thousands at the Children’s Medical Center Holiday Parade in Dallas in early December.
And when Billboard asked folks to vote for their favorite album of 2010, those loyal David Archie fans made his “The Other Side of Down” number one. That’s right, number one. In front of Eminem’s “Recovery,” Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now,” Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” and all the rest.
Ah, but online votes are not CD sales, and if the numbers I’m reading everywhere are correct, “The Other Side” has sold a paltry 63,000 copies. And I kept checking David’s website for news of a tour to support the album. It never materialized.
In contrast, his debut album was certified gold in a matter of months; and the Christmas album David released in the fall of 2009 was well received, selling nearly 250,000 copies according to one source I saw.
To my ears, “The Other Side of Down” is David’s best album yet. But it was also released to a fickle public enraptured by new pop sensations like Justin Bieber and Kei$ha. And it was released in the highly competitive period right before the holiday shopping season, when lots of artists are rushing new music to fans.
True to form, David seems to be taking the latest development in stride. And remaining upbeat.
I’ve interviewed the guy twice about upcoming concerts in this area. He always comes across as humble and gracious.
And he might not have a record contract with Jive, but he still has that voice. More than one of this year’s Idol contestants cited his performance of “Imagine” as their favorite Idol moment ever.
Since Friday, David has sent out tweets thanking fans for their support, to let them know that “I am excited for the opportunities ahead” and that “things are going where I feel they should.”
I’m sure we’ll find out where that is in a matter of time. Give that voice, I have no doubt we’ll be hearing more from David.

A comment from Richard Parkinson on FOD
So, today we have found ourselves wanting to cross a bridge that seems to have been washed away. I have just received confirmation that David has, in fact, been released from Jive’s roster. I’m not sure how many different emotions we’ll see from all of you, but I’m guessing we’ll see anger, hurt, disappointment, joy, relief, and possibly a whole flurry of others.
I want to take a second to let you all know how I feel about it. I’m excited for David and more proud of him than I’ve ever been. While it might appear that this could be devastating, I have a gut feeling he will be just fine. He is one of the most vocally talented individuals I have ever met in my life. But more than that, he is simply one of the most incredible human beings I have ever spent time with. It has been fun to see him venture out and try different things and chase the world that has been in front of him.
While we all want things to be nothing but roses, look around in your own life and tell me if that’s truly the case. Probably not. We all have challenges, we all have disappointments. Sometimes adversity creates the tears that make our hearts grow. We’ve all heard “It’s not about what happens to you in life, it’s all about how you handle it.” It’s the attitude that you take moving forward that makes the difference.
So, Jive has decided to not currently have a working relationship with David. It’s not the end of the world. I can tell you first hand that Jive was an incredible organization to work with. Their intentions with David were nothing but great, from my perception. I did not see them holding him back, or trying hard to not promote him. Why in the world would they do that? When a label signs an artist, if the artist does well the label does well, and vice versa. They are all on the same page trying to make things work so they all make money so they can continue to put amazing music in our lives. It takes an insane amount of money to promote an artist and to keep the train rolling, and at the end of the day, we all have to realize this is a business. I don’t know the details on how they came to the decision to release David, but if it wasn’t working for everyone then it makes sense that the best thing to do was to end the relationship. I think that is fair for everyone involved.
At this point we all have a choice to make. We can blame someone for the apparent failure or we can look inside ourselves to forgive those who might be responsible. If we place blame, what good does it do? It’s painful to hold hatred and resentment towards others, especially when it really has no effect to do so. I think we should rather stand and be grateful for what we’ve witnessed in the brilliant young career of this prodigious young man. You’ve read his book, you’ve felt his spirit, you’ve basked in the aura of his testimony through song. Don’t let anything that happens take that away from you. Are any of us not a better person because of our interactions with David? Let’s keep it real.
Maybe we could all take a moment to thank Jive and those who have managed David for giving us the opportunities we’ve had. They’ve invested a lot of time, money, and effort into his career. And while they may not be perfect, I think they have tried to do the best job they knew how.
Now is a time that we, as his fans, need to stand and prepare to roll up our sleeves because we’ve got a lot of work to do. Let the positive attributes shine through and when the time comes to get out and promote him again, let’s be ready? As artists, producers, labels, and really anyone else in the creative world trying to make things happen, we realize that we cannot do it alone. We need fans to love our music and be willing to get out there and help us spread our message. I am so grateful for all of you and the moments that I have had in my life with you. There will always be a place in my heart for you, regardless of what’s happening that’s out of our control.
And David, if you read this, I’m only a phone call away. We can go get Thai food and write an amazing song!
Peace…
Rich Parkinson
Very well said.

No more Jive
The Hollywood ReporterAfter Twitter lit up last night with rumors that David Archuleta had been dropped by Jive Records, his label home since 2008, a Jive spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that "David was released from our roster."
Archuleta's latest album, 2010's The Other Side of Down, failed to gain traction at radio or on the charts, where it's sold just over 63,000 copies. That's a far cry from his 2008 self-titled debut, which moved nearly a million units and has been certified platinum.
The season 7 finale which pitted Archuleta against eventual victor David Cook logged over 97 million votes, the highest total the show had seen until the next year's face-off between Adam Lambert and Kris Allen, which drew 100 million.
Archuleta recently spoke with THR about his Idol experience, recalling the early weeks when America was first getting to know the contestants. Said Archie: "I was just wondering what's the future going to be like? How hard is it going to be? Am I going to be able to handle it all? I think part of that stress is good because it keeps you focused."
Everyone just remember that David's extremely talented and labels will probably be jumping at the chance to have him. #WeSupportArchueta
