David was mentioned on ChaCha as being a celebrity with a Mormon background!

After finishing runner-up in Season 7 of 'American Idol,' David Archuleta has made quite the successful career for himself on the strength of radio hits like "Crush." He has sold over a million albums and three million song downloads at this young stage in his career.
While on 'American Idol,' Archuleta and fellow finalist Brooke White (both Mormons) had a tough time finding songs without profanity or improper subject matter that would be suitable for their beliefs. The two finalists both wanted to sing Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline." They flipped a coin to determine who would get it, and Archuleta won.

In December of 2011, Archuleta made the stunning announcement that he would put his music career on hold as of March 2012 in order to embark on a two-year Mormon mission to Chile. Since beginning the mission, Archuleta has cut off his long hair to adopt a conservative look fitting of the church, and he has become the biggest celebrity to ever take training classes with fellow Mormons his own age.
