Constitution Fair article

From Mindful of Music:
David Archuleta sings his heart out on patriotic songs at Constitution Fair

Last night, David Archuleta headlined the Constitution Fair in Gilbert, Arizona. Though David sang a full set, he first came out and sang the National Anthem, which seemed to be one of the highlights of the night. Normally singing only the first verse of the song, David changed it up and sang the last, more uncommon verse of the song, and seemed to blow the entire audience away.
Watch below, and be sure to listen for an excited "He was fantastic!" at the very end:

There's just something about the way David sings patriotic songs; he puts something into those performances that no one else does, and makes you really feel the meaning of the song. Don't know what I mean? Listen below as David sings his own patriotic medley of "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and America The Beautiful from last night:

And if that's not enough, this performance of God Bless America is just breathtaking. Really, he's performed this song countless of times, but nothing compares to this version in my opinion. You can tell he's putting his all into this song, with his strong, beautiful voice and the amazing affect it has, this performance is absoluetly stunning.

Buzz!

Season 7 — David Cook vs. David Archuleta: David Cook was Idol’s master of tweaking songs to fit his style of music; David Archuleta is a better singer than either of this year’s teen sensations. Another of my favorite final twos. Conclusion: Big edge to Season 7.
Idol Chatter

David Archuleta knows all too well how a popular singing competition can rocket an amateur musician into an American Idol, and for three Utah hopefuls that same dream could take off at this year’s Stadium of Fire.
More HERE on Universe

David Archuleta performed the National Anthem at the Dodgers game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California on May 17, 2011. We love that David slowed the song down a bit and really focused on making it sound the best he could. We love hearing David perform live – he has a fantastic voice, and makes every song sound perfect!
Check out David’s performance below and be sure to let us know if you have been lucky enough to see David perform in person and what your favorite song to hear him sing acoustically is!

David Archuleta was the entertainment for the night at the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Milwaukee Brewers baseball game last night (May 17) as he gave two special performances.
Archie got things started off right with a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. He returned later with another patriotic performance, singing God Bless America.

Buzz!

Former American Idol runner-up David Archuleta sang the National Anthem before the start of the Anaheim Ducks-Nashville Predators game last Friday. Even with his support, the Ducks lost the game 4-3 in OT, then went on to lose the series.
Archuleta will also make an appearance at the Invisible Children’s Break the Silence in Nashville and there will be a live video stream so those who can’t make it can watch online. The goal is for $25 raised for each person for The Protection Plan, which is to protect people from the Lord’s Resistance Army violence in central Africa.

Girly Bubble

David Archuleta performed a cover of Daniel Bedingfield’s “Gotta Get Through This” at The Invisible Children’s Break The Silence event. The event was held in order to raise awareness, as well as funds, to help stop wars in Africa.
David looks like he is having a great time performing and he doesn’t seem to be down on himself at all that he is no longer signed to a major record label. We really think David should start up his own label! We’d support him! Would you?

And some buzz from Idolator:

David Archuleta may not have won American Idol, but a young idol couldn’t get much more American than singing the national anthem alongside a bunch of Marines at a hockey game. (Okay, maybe if it was baseball.) And that’s just what the “Senseless” singer did at the Honda Center in Anaheim yesterday. Alas, “The Star Spangled Banner” may not be the new music Archie recently promised via his video blog, but hey — at least he knows all the words. Oh say, can you see the video of this performance? Why, yes — just head below.

Also, David's tweet about the game made a top tweet!
