Digital Spy:
David Archuleta
David Archuleta has said that he considers God to be in charge of his career.

American Idol's season seven runner-up told Yes World that he feels confident in the decisions he makes as he has faith that his religious beliefs will help to guide him in the right direction.

Archuleta said: "To be honest, I always have to say no one is guiding me better than God. He's been the one guiding me.

"I've been saying a lot of prayers and trying to say 'Okay, what do I need to be doing right now because I could've been doing a lot of other things. But what is it that I'm supposed to be doing?'"

'Something 'Bout Love' singer Archuleta continued: "A lot of times that's scary because, it's like I can go so many different ways. I could mess this up or who knows what, but there's just something you feel inside that's like, 'you know what, keep going'.

"Even though you're not sure exactly what's going to happen, you feel good about what's going on, you feel good about the decisions you're making, you feel good about going to take a break and just meet with writers."

Archuleta left his record label Jive earlier this year following the release of album The Other Side of Down. He later told fans in a video blog that although there had been offers for him to continue working with them, he thought parting ways was the "right thing" for him to do.
