David Archuleta is set for a concert in KL

AMERICAN pop sensation David Archuleta is set to return to Kuala Lumpur for a full concert on July 26 at Stadium Negara.

Archuleta's last visit here in April 2009 was an overwhelming success with more than 5,000 fans showing up for his promo showcase at Sunway Lagoon in Selangor.

The Miami-born, Utah-raised native’s self-titled 2008 debut album contained hit songs like “Crush”, “A Little Too Not Over You”, and “Touch My Hand”.

The affable 20-year-old, who was the runner-up on American Idol (season seven) now has a successful recording career withtwo studio albums to his name. His exceptional vocal talent and charismatic boy-next-door charm has captured the hearts of many fans worldwide, regardless of their age group.

His follow-up album, “The Other Side of Down” which was released last October, also generated hit singles like “Something Bout Love” and “Elevator”.

Archuleta's popularity here is also undeniable with a combined album sales of 19,000 units sold, reaching the platinum status.

Ticket prices for his concert in KL on July 26 range RM300, RM230, RM190, RM150 and RM90 (all prices shown exclude RM3 ticket handling fees). Concert tickets go on sale on June 20. Tickets are available through Ticket Charge (www.ticketcharge.com.my) and AirAsia RedTix outlets (www.airasiaredtix.com).

The Managing Director of Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia, Adrian Lim mentioned that, “This will be David’s first ever concert in Malaysia and is also the first time that Sony Music as the music label is doubling up as the organizer for the concert…being in both of this roles gives us more flexibility in giving fans more accessibility to him. We will have more activities than just a normal concert.”

Jakarta - Pond's 2011 re-Teen Concert will be held in Indonesia. Dozens of artists are ready to liven up the event, including performances of international artists David Archuleta.

This time, the Pond's Teen Concert 2011 will be held in three major cities. While the dropout 'American Idol' David Archuleta will fill the top event in Jakarta on 16 July.

"I will come to entertain all fans in Indonesia. I'm veryexcited to come there. Wait for me there, yes, I am very happy to be there, "said David via a video recording played during a press conference at Emax Plaza Semanggi, Jakarta ( 06/13/2011).

Chanter 'Crush' is also claimed to hold a splashy appearance in Jakarta.

Pond's Teen Concert 2011 will be held in Medan, June 18, 2011 located on the Ground Mobile Brigade which will be enlivened Afgan, Nidji, The Changcuters, Lyla, BC * SH, Geisha and GAC.

The event continued in Surabaya on July 2, held at Stadium Farms Sari which will be enlivened by the appearance Afgan, Bob Marley, Box, The Changcuters, Jrock, BC * SH and GAC.
