The Artistic Fans have been at it!

I've been doing a lot more lurking than posting in The Artistic Fans of David Archuleta group on facebook, but I thought I would post some great pieces of art I've seen in there! Heck, they're all great! But these are just some that I've seen in there recently:

By Roselyn:

By Paula:
Also don't forget to check out Paula's The Singer and the Song Project happening now.

By MissBianca:

By Janel; Japan page, part of her awesome scrapbook for David!

You can see all of the lovely art in the group HERE, and request to join if you haven't already!

What the random?

Another random post on this lovely Friday!

First, found on FOD, apparently David was shown on Entertainment Tonight last night during a segment on the passing of Donna Summer, when ET interviewed her during the S7 finale:

Second, from Ana:

Aww! Not gonna lie Ana, we miss him too!

Next, found on Fanscene, a sweet tweet to Kari from @tatoropel, who is a member of the Symphonie Jeunesse (click the image below to make it larger):

Also, this may be a tad late, but there's lovely David "Imagine" mentions in the following articles, after Joshua Ledet performed the song on Idol this past week:

Access Atlanta:
It’s hard not to compare this with the low-key original or even David Archuleta’s subtle take.

Yahoo Music Canada:
Once again my hopes for unpredictability from Joshua were dashed when he went with this overdone "Idol" staple, one that is still associated in many viewers' minds with David Archuleta's landmark performance from Season 7.

NJ.com:
“Imagine” has been done before in more memorable fashion (David Archuleta comes to mind).

MARKSWORLD:
It wasn’t a great arrangement, and it took me back to when David Archuleta nailed this song in Season 7.

And lastly, one of my fave mentions...
Gossip & Gab:
Although honestly, I do have to question how we ended up with “Imagine” at this point in the competition when David Archuleta already went there and did that and who wants to be compared to one of the most iconic song of Idol history?

And last but not least, I thought I would share this with everyone. I posted this in the Artistic Fans of David Archuleta group on facebook yesterday. It's a page from my David scrapbook, full of tickets, wristbands, etc. from David concerts! It might be a good idea for anyone who doesn't know what to do with any concert tickets :)

Amy's David Charity Scrapbook

Hey guys!

Well, I FINALLY finished my charity storybook, documenting David’s 2010! It was incredibly difficult; as you will see, he was VERY busy last year! He was here, there and everywhere doing so many different things last year! I invite you to take a look at the book and reminisce about all the cool things David did last year. This is a 32 page, hard backed, high quality storybook. And if you would like to purchase one, 100% of my profits will go to MS and Make A Wish! (And on the Make A Wish note, do you remember David’s duet with Jonah? That precious moment is in there too!) The book is $64.95 plus tax and shipping and almost $18 of that will go to the charities. Many of you know that this is the 3rd year I have done this project. To date, it has raised over $1600 for these two charities. Thank you for your support of me and this project and many of you for donating photographs to help me tell the story. As 2011 unfolds, please feel free to send me any exceptional pictures you take of David; you never know, they might be in the next book! If you have any questions/comments, please email me at HIDDEN EMAIL .

Here are a few pictures of a couple of the pages in the book. Enjoy the walk down memory lane!

Blessings,
Amy Norfleet
