Randomness!

Polyvore:

Chasing Josh Bradley, Josh's outfit on Nandito Ako!

And how David and Bryce Avery met... Select-O-Hits:
What was it like working with David Archuleta of American Idol and how did this alliance come about?
Oh man, he’s such a good kid – a good dude – a tremendous vocalist. I actually ran into him – it’s so weird man! I had this really weird thing happen one night where I was hanging out with friends and somehow we ended up bumping into Paula Abdul. And long story short – and of the weirdest things I could explain – but Paula Abdul ended up in my rental car with me in a parking garage – and we listened to my entire record Of Men And Angels. And then the very next night was the American Idol finale – and I was in the studio making a song called The Fight. And I got invited to that, and I was like “Well I can’t go, but maybe I’ll try to go to the after party.” I had to work. So I went to the after party and I ran into David Archuleta. It was a really humbling experience and flattering at the same time, because a lot of those American Idol people were coming up and wanting to take photos and stuff – which I thought was kind of the most surreal thing because I’m not famous or anything. But it really put even more into perspective how crazy that American Idol thing is, because it’s literally just guys and girls that go to shows that have great vocals – they tried out and made it onto the show and within a couple of months they’re superstars. And so I was meeting a bunch of thoseAmerican Idol people, and they were explaining how they had been to a bunch of Rocket Summer shows. And David Archuleta was a big fan. He just asked me if I would ever write a song for him, and I had never really done that. It was a cool experience to put myself in somebody else’s shoes and try to write a totally different song for his demographics. He came over to my house. We went and ate Thai food and wrote a little pop jam. And it was fun! (Editor’s Note: The song was called Stomping The Roses)

David mention on My Fox Atlanta!

Dale has been hooked on “American Idol” since she was a little girl. She’s watched it every year, been to a local “Idol” concert – even carved 2008 finalist David Archuleta’s name in the cement outside her home.

Crush Kids' Cancer mentioned in SU2C blog

From SU2C:
Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels

Have raised a total of $68,815 since 2008

Crush Kids' Cancer: David Archuleta's Angels, is one of SU2C's longest running and most active teams to date. This team, led by pediatric oncologist Dr. Stacie Goldberg (Pecan Pie), has continued to raise funds for SU2C research by participating in SU2C team challenges. In addition to the online challenges the team continues to inspire and encourage its members to stay active in the fight against cancer, with frequent email updates and motivating messages to take action and donate now.

"Children's cancer is an area near and dear to my heart...The Stand Up To Cancer model is trying to unite academic centers all around the world so you're not just getting one piece of data from one individual site, and that's really the only way you're really going to forward the frontiers of medicine." - Stacie Goldberg, M.D., Team Captain

Thanks Pecan Pie for sending me the link!

Angel's For A Cause mention on Black Celebrity Giving!

The foundation also plans to open a medical center in Honduras and has already raised over $4,000 thanks to the help of David Archuleta’s Angel for a Cause (AFAC) organization. LLF plans to provide medical and dental treatment free of charge for those who cannot afford it. Health care for the urban and rural poor is extremely limited especially since the Honduras is the second poorest country in Central America. LLF hopes to five back to the impoverished families that suffer everyday there.

Mentions of Conditioner's death

For the record, he's doing fine :)

But Conditioner's death has gotten a little buzz:

Rickey.org

From Pop City Life:
RIP Conditioner 2005-2011
David Archuleta just announced on Twitter that his beloved fish Conditioner has died. Fans came to love the mysterious fish and how he came to join the family. This obviously deserved it's own post. Remember Conditioner!

It's time for..... a what the random post!

Every once in a while I seem to make these post relating to the "what the random?" phrase with Archu-randomness. So here we go:

First, rummaging through twitter (aka searching David's name) I found this lovely tweet which held a link to a "Crush" remix!

Awesome job DJ Drew!

Next, found this small David mention in an article about the Jerry Lewis Telethon on CNN:
The 2010 edition, for instanced, raised $58,919,838 after performances by the likes of acrobatic dancers from Cirque du Soleil, "American Idol's" David Archuleta and a host of comedic performers. Still, throughout the plethora of acts, the one constant over 900 hours of programming has remained Lewis.

Also, found this on Fanscene and thought it was worth posting. Jimi Yamagishi posted in the comments of THIS photo on Songwriters Vantage's facebook about hearing David sing "Falling" during the ASCAP interview:

And while we're on the subject of facebook, the Manila event has been added to David's!

And that conclude's tonight's What The Random? post :)
